Getting Started

Click Join Free on the homepage. Fill in your name, email, phone number and password. You'll be logged in instantly — no email verification delay.

Completely free for buyers. Sellers pay a small 3% service fee only when an order completes — no listing fees, no monthly charges.

Once logged in, go to My Profile → Become a Seller. Your account is upgraded instantly and you can start listing products straight away.

Buying

Browse or search for the item you want, click Add to Cart, then proceed to checkout. You can pay by EFT, card, cash, or arrange a meetup with the seller.

Yes — if a listing is marked Price Negotiable, click Message Seller to chat and agree on a price before ordering.

Open a dispute within 7 days of the expected delivery date. Your payment is held in escrow and will be refunded if the seller cannot prove delivery. See our Buyer Protection policy.

Go to My Orders in your account. Each order shows its current status: Confirmed → Shipped → Delivered. The seller will update the status as your order progresses.

Selling

From your Seller Dashboard click Add Listing. Fill in the product name, category, price, condition, photos, and delivery options. Your listing goes live immediately.

Up to 6 photos per listing, max 5 MB each (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF). Good photos get more views — use natural lighting and multiple angles.

Payment is released from escrow once the buyer confirms delivery and marks the order as Completed. Funds are sent via EFT within 1–2 business days.

A flat 3% service fee on the final order value. For example, on a R500 sale you keep R485. There are no listing fees, no subscription costs.

Payments & Safety

Yes. All payments go through escrow — the money is held safely until you confirm you've received your order. The seller only gets paid after you're satisfied.

EFT / Bank Transfer, Visa & Mastercard, Instant EFT, Cash on Delivery, PayShap, and Capitec Pay.

Vula Market escrow means you should never lose money on a completed transaction. If something goes wrong, open a dispute immediately. Our team in Cape Town reviews disputes within 7 business days.

Account & Profile

Go to My Profile → Edit Profile and scroll to the password section. Enter your current password and your new password, then save.
